Harshlands is a medieval role-playing enforced sandbox environment.

The Harshlands MUD is, above all else, a role-playing game world. The game should be viewed in most ways as a traditional sit-down, pencil and paper, role-playing game, and not as a video game where the object is to tally the most kills.

Harshlands has an auto generated character option which means if you just want to wander around and see what the game is like you do not need to submit an application. You can wander with an auto generated character and retire it later if you decide you want to start out with a more customized character.

Be a crafter, cleric, mystic, soldier, hunter, wanderer, outcast. You decide!
