Game Banner Guide
Prepare a sharp, fast-loading banner that keeps your game name and artwork readable wherever your listing appears.
Banner requirements at a glance
MUDVerse accepts JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP images. Static WebP or JPEG usually gives photographs and detailed artwork the smallest file size, while PNG is useful for crisp flat artwork or transparency.
Design for the card crop
Game cards have a fixed 84-pixel height and change width with the visitor’s screen. They fill the available space from the left edge of your banner, so some of the right side may be cropped.
- Keep your logo, game name, and essential message inside the left-side safe area.
- Continue backgrounds, textures, or nonessential artwork across the full 728×90 canvas.
- Avoid small type and fine details that become difficult to read when the card is narrow.
- Larger pixel dimensions are accepted, but they add no display space because the image is scaled and may still be cropped.
Prepare your banner
- Resize or crop to 728×90. Preserve the artwork’s proportions instead of stretching it.
- Check the safe area. Make sure the leftmost 310 pixels communicate the game’s identity by themselves.
- Compress the exported file. Aim for 200 KB or less and stay below the 1 MiB server limit.
- Upload and verify. Review the banner preview, then check the game on the search page at desktop and mobile widths.
