About This Game

Shadowrealm: Age of Darkness is a free, text-driven multiplayer RPG you play in the browser, set in a ruined realm of four cities where the light went out long ago.

Commit crimes and dark deeds to earn gold and experience, climb through the ranks, and ascend when you reach the top to start again stronger. Get caught and you land in jail, where other players can bust you out, or you can bust them out yourself and build a rescue streak.

Fight other players in the Player Hunt, climb a monthly ranked arena ladder with seasonal rewards, and challenge rivals to duels with gold on the line. When a city boss falls upon one of the cities, the whole realm travels there to bring it down together, sharing the loot by the damage each fighter dealt.

Build your character your way: forge and upgrade gear up to the divine tier, spend talent points, train your stats at the Training Grounds, brew and buy potions, and hunt rare materials. Claim and rebuild your bloodline's ruined stronghold, run a casino, raid Black Lotus dens, steal conveyances from the Black Stables, and plan crew heists with friends.

The economy is player-driven: trade through escrow, sell on the gear and material markets, bank your gold for interest, or take out a loan if you dare, because an unpaid loan ends in jail and debt. Join or found a guild, chat in global and guild channels, and follow the story in a library of lore books.

No download, no pay-to-win. New releases arrive every few days, shaped by player suggestions and a public roadmap.
