You can choose a mortal Background—relying on rock salt, cold iron, and hard-mode human grit—or start already Awakened. Play as a black-eyed Demon, a grace-fueled Angel seeking a Vessel, a Vampire battling the beast, a Leviathan, or a cosmic-touched conduit of The Empty.

​Progression is a deliberate power fantasy: research rumors at local diners, paint Devil's Traps in motel rooms to secure your safehouse, make 10-year pacts at the crossroads, and break through the Tier Ladder in a public display of power. Combat is a seamless blend of tactical depth and narrative flair—resolving first as structured battle data, then narrating every shotgun blast, telekinetic pin, and cinematic Momentum spend in vivid prose.

​When you log out, you do not vanish. Your body remains in the world as an Echo, safely continuing your training regimen and existing as part of the living town.
