As the Wheel Weaves (AWW) is a free, multiplayer text-based fantasy MUD inspired by Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time. It is an independent fan project and is not officially affiliated with the books or their publishers.
Originally launched in 1997 but rebooted just this year!
Make exploration part of the experience. Travel through a persistent world of familiar regions and original areas, and use the website’s interactive map to explore locations as you play. The website also offers zone ambience, so you can listen to sounds that fit the area while you adventure in the MUD.
Create a character, explore, face dangerous creatures, improve your skills, find equipment, and build your character over time. Channelers and fighters have their own ways to grow and meet the world’s challenges.
AWW is a classic text-based MUD. Connect with the AWW client or a compatible MUD client, then keep the website open alongside the game for the map and ambience.
We have a huge Wheel of Time world at about 50,000 custom rooms! You can level from 1-1000 in the Westlands, Seandar, and even Shara! Essentially 3 complete worlds all linked together.
